"I think the Blu-Ray is still the best way to reach a wider audience. DLC, in a way, is like preaching to the converted, you know? It's to people who want to evolve their experience. But LBP2 gives a new entry point for loads of people, and the people who have LBP1 get all the bonuses, they can keep all their stuff, and they don't lose anything."
This is a good thing considering I've bought every piece of lbp dlc. The sequel cant come soon enough for me ...
I saw the same thing said about uncharted 2 when it was announced, and we all saw how that turned out. Lets just wait and see how much LBP2 really improves before we start calling it lbp 1.5.
I think its more of a creative tools upgrade rather than a graphic engine overhaul. LBP's graphics are just fine as they are, and I can assure you they will only look better as they optimize their current engine. The sheer amount of new things you'll be able to do make this worthy of calling a new game.
Don't worry, I'll play it enough for both of us. I'm sure you'll come around and pick it up eventually though.
Nope, it had a stellar soundtrack perfect for the atmosphere of the game. I never had a problem finding sweet music to use in my levels.
Wow this is huge news, lbp is still played on a regular basis in my household. It will be great for Sonys lineup if both lbp2 and gt5 manage to arrive before christmas.
"He had tons and tons of wires and switches in the background working to make that happen. Media Molecule didn’t want players to have to take up all that space just to make that happen. So in LBP2 you can create microchips that handle all of that logic stuff.
Additionally you can use the microchips to program enemies and such as well. You can control their properties, weak points, animations, whatever. They can all also be condensed onto a microchip."

Skate 3, 3d game heroes, rdr, and mnr should ensure a busy gaming month for my gf and I. Now they just need to come out....
I buy and play whatever I have an interest in, no matter the exclusivity status. I must admit though that I personally get a different feeling of anticipation when starting up a higher budget game like a sony exclusive. Its a good feeling knowing that you are about to be immersed and impressed non stop imo.
same here, the bonus content is too good to pass up IMO.
# The Art of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, a 176-page book featuring artwork from the game
# An exclusive 2GB USB flash drive replica of Jim Raynor's dog tag, which comes preloaded with the original StarCraft and the StarCraft: Brood War expansion set
# A behind-the-scenes DVD containing over an hour of developer interviews, cinematics with director's commentary, and more
# The official...
I cant wait. If sc1 is any indication I'll be playing scII for years to come, probably into my thirties. Its been a long time coming but its finally almost here.
I think theyll both have strong showings, so much so that there probably wont be a clear "winner" this year. Both consoles are in their stride right now so the amount of content will be overwhelming on both sides. I'm not too sure about nintendo though, hopefully the new zelda game will blow us all away.
agreed, twisted metal would steal the show.
In my opinion all Sony needs to win E3 is StarHawk.
Yea its unfortunate that acti is taking advantage of people waiting for sc2. I never said however that blizzard loves their community, just that I love their game. The new battlenet will be nice though.
You really are being hasty, maybe acti has completely different terms with bungie than they do with everyone else. Look at Blizzard, developer of my favorite franchise of all time Starcraft. They get all the time and money they want because of the caliber of unique ips, and probably under terms of the buyout.
I'm positive that bungie is not going to produce a sh\t product, it will be well funded and marketed. As long as you are a fan of games, I dont see whats wrong with that.

It had to be quite the lucrative deal if they went to activision, so I think people should wait and see how this project unfolds before throwing anyone, especially a proven developer, under the bus. It just wouldnt make sense to put themselves into an uncomfortable position with their publisher for the next decade.
I think thats the first time I've ever seen someone called fanboy and sdf in the same sentence. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
@crabs
I simply calls it as I sees it. I understand this is a difficult day for you but no need to get mad. No dupe accounts here, my psn is in my profile, surely I wouldnt include that in a dupe account now would I?
And who the hell calls people "sdf soldiers"? And you say you are not a fanboy, lol. What are you...
La Chance, take a gander at the Bungie.net forums and you'll find what you are looking for. People are already writing farewell letters to bungie and threatening to boycott.
EDIT see, it goes both ways. Dont sit there and pretend that either fanbase is better than the other.

Wow that trailer is amazing. I swear if this comes out before christmas then 2010 will be unbeatable in terms of quality for me personally between lbp2 and scII.
